Project Background
For more than a century, Mutual of Omaha (MOO) has been committed to listening to it's customers and helping them through life's transitions by providing an array of insurance and financial products. The Mutual of Omaha careers site branding and layout was outdated and needed a new look and feel. Tasked with giving the entire site a makeover with the new Mutual of Omaha Careers "Be At Your Best" marketing campaign, we created an entire new experience for users interested in joining the Mutual of Omaha team.

Goals
The overall goal of this project was to empathize with potential users of the new site, and create a new experience. We wanted to make sure users wants/ needs were being met. Upon conducting research, the goal was to provide a new experience that empowers the users to make educated decisions about whether or not MOO was the place for them to invest in their potential future careers.

Wire framing, Prototyping & Testing

I was one of the lead designers of new site. The site redesign was done within the constraints of Mutual of Omaha's new content management system (CMS). Following several rounds of ideating initial wireframes with stakeholders of the new page designs, we were able to create a prototype, which was passed on to our team of UX architects for usability testing. Once we had approval on our designs we started with building out all of our pages using our content management system Mondrian. Which allowed us to go through and test how everything worked on our CAT staging site before the site was published and pushed out live to the public.

Projects Insights

This project had a lot of pan points which caused several road blocks. Being that the company is in the initial stages of transferring all of their live pages over into their new CMS, there are some processes that are still getting fine tuned. My fellow designers and architects were great to work alongside. We had several instances were we had to stand up for users and fight for our design suggestions. After a long seven months, the site was pushed live at the beginning of July '23. Take a look! Mutual of Omaha Careers.
